We're recruiting a Senior AI Systems Engineer for an independent multimedia studio. This full-time Systems Engineer role is fully remote across the UK, offering a compelling salary and benefits package and the chance to work on multiple successful IPs.
The Senior AI Systems Engineer will join their Core Tech Team, helping to develop a mixture of exciting unannounced projects. You'll work on developing AI and Entity systems that their project teams will utilise to make incredible games.
As an AI Systems Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for:
- Implementing solutions to feature requests, considering performance, maintainability, and appropriate resource usage
- Ensuring coding standards are followed by participating in regular code reviews
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyse technical constraints and establish solutions
- Being a key part of an agile development team, assisting the Technical Director with planning and review of features, and mentoring less experienced programmers
You will need professional experience in a related role in games development on multiple published games to apply for this Senior AI Systems Engineer position. We are looking for someone with excellent C/C++ programming skills and superb knowledge of object-oriented development. Additional qualifications include:
- Good knowledge and experience with existing and modern AI technologies such as pathfinding, behaviour trees, and character controllers
- Experience working with a large game codebase, its modules, and middleware
- Comprehension of software performance considerations, with the ability to design and implement well-performance systems
- Knowledge of common algorithms, data structures, and patterns and their application
