Senior Accounts Assistant

The Role – Senior Accounts Assistant

Working closely with the Finance Manager, this role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function. You’ll be responsible for bookkeeping across multiple entities, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports. A keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and proficiency in accounting software will be essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks across multiple entities.
• Process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and handle accounts payable/receivable.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and management accounts.
• Handle expense reports, reimbursements, and payroll support.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit preparations.
• Support inventory management, including valuation and reconciliation.

What You’ll Need

• AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Dext.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with international transactions and multi-currency accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, with experience handling large datasets.
• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.

Location & Work Setup

• Remote (UK-based) or Hybrid in London – applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
