Remote Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master at this studio, you will have the chance to work fully remotely from within Denmark, as you coach the team in Agile practices, work with stakeholders, improve practices and generally provide support to the team to ensure any blockers are removed and the team can thrive as much as possible. 

This studio is passionate about transforming the way children learn. Working with data science experts and amazing illustrators, they’re ensuring academic success with their easy-to-use experiences that ensure accelerated performance for reading and writing. 

Scrum Master key responsibilities: 

  • Coach the games team on using Agile practices and principles 
  • Ensure scrum is understood and adhered to by the team 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive decision making and support projects and teams 
  • Work to improve agile practices within the studio 
  • Support all scrum events including sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective 
  • Coach and support agile teams 

Essential requirements for this remote role: 

  • Demonstrable experience of shipping multiple games 
  • Significant previous games industry experience 
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and coaching skills 
  • Knowledge of an agile framework or methodology such as scrum or kanban, or understanding of software development lifecycle models 
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles 
  • Skilled in scrum techniques such as refinement, estimation, velocity, etc. 
  • Experience planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams 
  • Experience facilitating meetings throughout an organisation 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word and Excel 
  • Happy to promote Agile values and principles
