If you have games rendering experience and you’re seeking a new remote-working role, Skillsearch wants to hear from you! We are helping a North American games studio hire a full-time Rendering Programmer, and the remote role comes with a generous salary and benefits package. 

As a Rendering Programmer, you will work with others to design and implement the artistic vision of the game. You will also drive optimization and bug fixes for shaders and other rendering systems. 

In your first few weeks in this Rendering Programmer role, you can expect to: 

  • Work with designers, artists, and other engineers to build life-like visuals, immersive worlds, and state-of-the-art graphical FX 
  • Provide technical guidance to all aspects of rendering in game, and in editor art workflows 
  • Support the team with optimization and debugging of rendering issues 
  • Help to provide optimal techniques, shaders and workflows in Unreal Engine. 

To apply for this Rendering Programmer role, you will need a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field, plus experience with rendering in the Unreal Engine and the new features of Unreal 5. You will also require the following: 

  • Experience in modern graphics APIs such as DirectX12 and HLSL 
  • Experience in professional game development, shipping multiple AAA titles 
  • Experience with game consoles, PS5, Xbox Series X, etc 
  • Excellent C++ skills, with creative problem-solving, math, and analytical skills.
