Remote Principal/Lead VFX Artist

As a Principal/Lead VFX Artist at this fully remote VR studio, you will take on a key role in managing and developing the VFX team, producing amazing effects and delivering new ideas in an effort to solve difficult issues, whilst mentoring the VFX team and ensuring their success.

Principal/Lead VFX Artist responsibilities: 

  • Manage and develop the VFX team 
  • Deliver VFX for multiple VR titles 
  • Produce impressive effects within VR constraints 
  • Deliver new ideas to solve complex issues 
  • Mentor good VFX practices within the team 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Extensive prior game development experience 
  • Have worked on one or more shipped game in a Principal/Lead VFX Artist role 
  • Experience working with real time engines such as Unreal, creating VFX blueprints, shader networks, dynamic systems, etc. 
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Unreal, Maya or similar 
  • Strong understanding of form, timing, weight and colour 
  • Understanding of console and VR workflows and capabilities
