Do you have experience as a technical rigger in a game studio? Our client in the gaming industry is looking for a full-time Principal Rigger, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. The role is remote, but with the option to work in Barcelona!

The Principal Rigger will be responsible for constructing character rigs and establishing AAA quality and ensuring that they are integrated into the game according to its vision and the technical limitations of the project.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Be responsible for the creation of character rigs, as well as their correct functioning in the game engine
  • Create tools in Maya to improve the pipeline
  • Serve as a link between the animation team and the developers
  • Create integration tools in C++ in Unreal Engine.

To apply for this Principal Rigger role, you will need at least 3 years of experience as a technical rigger in a game studio. You will also require the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
  • Expert understanding of modern game content creation processes
  • Understanding of level creation and editing packages (UE4) and digital art (modeling, shading, lighting, VFX)
  • Experience with graphics debuggers and procedural pipelines.
