Remote Principal Rendering Engineer

As a Principal Rendering Engineer at this studio you will have the opportunity to work fully remotely anywhere in North America as you take on a key role in creating compelling game experiences through understanding what keeps players engaged and channelling you passion into creating long-lasting successful game titles. 

This AAA studio is a leading global platform for game development and publishing, as well as operating one of the largest online game communities in China. Currently home to over 140 games, they offer some thrilling cross-platform interactive experiences, and with more new titles up their sleeve, it’s a great time to join the team! 

Principal Rendering Engineer responsibilities: 

  • Drive vision and direction of rendering technology 
  • Help to realise the rendering style and overall game vision 
  • Develop guidelines to guide content creators 
  • Propose improvements to rendering techniques and pipelines 
  • Write clear, maintainable code 
  • Develop new tools and maintain existing ones 
  • Give and receive feedback 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Proficient in C/C++ 
  • Strong 3D maths skills 
  • Knowledge of standard graphics APIs and shader programming languages 
  • Experience with modern rendering techniques and game engine technologies 
  • Debugging and optimisation skills 
  • Able to prototype and iterate with others 
  • Able to take initiative and drive progress
