Our client is looking for an experienced principal software engineer to join our team, taking responsibility for developing innovative haptic features and pushing forward our simulation technology. This Principal R&D Software Engineer role is remote within the UK and comes with a generous salary of up to £60,000 and benefits.
As a Principal R&D Software Engineer, you will take responsibility for developing innovative haptic features and pushing forward our simulation technology. You will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure we produce accurate, realistic and immersive content
In your first few weeks in this Principal R&D Software Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Lead the development of new product features
- Leverage Unity functionality and combine with our platform to create Haptic and VR gameplay
- Research emerging technologies and innovate new ideas to further develop our software and patents
- Work closely with other engineers, designers and artists
- Participate in agile development and SCRUM
To apply for this Software Engineer role, you will need at least 7 years of professional programming experience. You will also require the following:
- Excellent C# skill
- Experience designing systems, interacting with a large-scale codebase
- Experience in research and development methodologies
- Expertise in designing, developing and coordinating the development of prototypes
- Excellent understanding of 3D Maths and Physics
