Farnborough is known for its history in the aviation industry, with a recent revamp of the town centre taking place in recent years, making the area significantly more appealing to residents and visitors alike. There are weekly markets held in the town square as well as weekly car boot sales, which are a great way to get involved in and get to know the local community. One thing Farnborough is famous for is their week-long international airshow – combining a trade exhibition for the aerospace industry with an impressive airshow. This town is perfect for travel into London with a direct train to London Waterloo taking only 34 minutes.
