Do you have games studio experience, and are you seeking a new job in Leeds? Skillsearch is helping a gaming company hire a full-time Principal 3D Artist in Leeds, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

As a 3D Artist, you will be part of a team transitioning from a small start-up studio to an established multi-disciplined games studio specialising in full-scale immersive extended reality games. 

In your first few weeks in this 3D Artist role, you can expect to: 

  • Create, implement and compose diverse 3D art across areas such as environments, weapons and vehicles to the highest standard 
  • Work closely with the Art Director to ensure visual standards, technical requirements and best practices are maintained 
  • Mentor and guide other 3D Artists and provide regular feedback. 

The right person for this role will already be in a senior or lead position with at least one shipped title to their name across a full development cycle. You will ideally have 5+ years of games studio experience and will be able to showcase a portfolio of projects with a similar art style to the company's own. You will also require the following: 

  • High proficiency in industry standard software such as 3DS Max/Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, etc 
  • The ability to quickly learn new tools as appropriate 
  • Proven ability to work across different visual styles 
  • Great attention to detail and aesthetics.
