Our client is seeking a collaborative and experienced Platform Engineer (Linux) to join our inclusive team on a 6-month contract. This Platform Engineer (Linux) role is based in Winchester and offers a favourable contract rate.
If you were already up and running in this Platform Engineer (Linux) role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in last week:
- Setting up and administering the Ansible Tower/AWX and Ansible Automation Platform (Automation Controllers, Automation Mesh AutomationHub and EDA Controllers)
- Implementing ansible environment architectures, including how ansible tower integrates with third-party applications, like Secret Server and Artifactory
- Using custom execution environments for AWX/AAP (Podman or Docker)
- Deploying Postgres databases for use as externally managed databases for Ansible
To apply for this Platform Engineer (Linux) role, you will need deep knowledge of UNIX / Linux internals, including Linux Kernel, shell scripting and command line tools. You will also require the following:
- Expert knowledge and experience of automation and management tools (Ansible, Ansible Tower, Satellite, Gitlab, etc)
- Experience with Scripting and Automation (Bash, Python)
- Ability to attain SC Level Clearance
- PostgreSQL\MongoDB or other database Knowledge
