PeopleSoft Fins/HCM Support

Are you an experienced PeopleSoft Technical Support Engineer with strong expertise in PeopleSoft Financials, HCM and enterprise ERP systems?

This is a contract opportunity to support a global organisation’s mission‑critical enterprise systems, providing technical expertise across PeopleSoft Financials and HCM environments. You’ll work within an IT solutions team, ensuring system stability, performance, integrations and ongoing improvements across a complex, multi‑system landscape.

About the role

You will provide technical support and development across PeopleSoft Financials and HCM platforms, handling issue resolution, system enhancements, patching and integrations. Working across a wide range of modules and systems, you’ll ensure reliable performance, support end users and contribute to continuous improvement of enterprise applications. This role requires strong technical depth combined with the ability to communicate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Provide technical support for PeopleSoft Financials and HCM via ticketing systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve system issues across modules
• Develop technical solutions using PeopleCode, SQL and related technologies
• Apply and test quarterly patches and updates, including Dev, UAT and production cycles
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies
• Manage integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems
• Support workflow configuration and enhancements, including approval workflows
• Prepare documentation and support deployment processes to production
• Perform quality control checks on development outputs and documentation
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, developers and external vendors
• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with governance and security standards
• Automate recurring testing and support continuous improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for

Experience

• 4+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft Financials and/or HCM (version 9.x)
• Hands‑on experience supporting multiple PeopleSoft modules in production environments
• Experience with system patching, upgrades and testing cycles
• Experience managing integrations with external enterprise systems

Skills

• Strong expertise in PeopleTools (8.6x) and PeopleCode development
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and data troubleshooting
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft security frameworks and configuration
• Experience implementing workflows and approval engines
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to support non‑technical users
• Experience with integration methods such as Integration Broker and component interfaces
• Understanding of automation and testing frameworks (e.g. PeopleSoft Test Framework)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have

• Experience integrating PeopleSoft with cloud or SaaS platforms
• Experience working in large, global or public sector organisations
• Exposure to financial, HR or payroll systems in complex environments
• Experience with audit compliance and governance processes

Languages

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
