Skillsearch is helping a collaborative company recruit a dedicated and experienced Network Programmer to join their inclusive and friendly team. This full-time network programming role is remote across Europe and comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

As an attentive and skilled Network Programmer, you will incorporate cutting-edge technology into a new engine designed to power large-scale simulations. You will join a team of other developers and researchers, approaching problems from new angles and experimenting with novel solutions. 

To give you an idea of how this network programming job would look and feel, these are some things you could expect to do: 

  • Investigate, design and implement high-speed, low-latency networking solutions 
  • Integrate 3rd party networking technologies in proprietary technology 
  • Assist in designing and integrating networking at the core-engine level 

To apply for this Network Programmer role, you will need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. You will also require an excellent low-level understanding of network protocols and proficiency in C/C++, including refactoring, optimisation and testing. Additional requirements include: 

  • Experience working with and programming for Windows and Linux platforms 
  • Confidence in investigating and prototyping new technologies 
  • The ability to write clear and maintainable code 
  • Expertise in designing and implementing for scalability 
  • Experience with decentralised networking solutions
