Network Developer in Guildford
We’re looking for a talented Network Programmer to play a key role at a multi award-winning studio based in Guildford. The studio is proudly independent and are enjoying huge success off the back of several well-known games. With a reputation for innovative games that thrill their audiences, this is a very exciting studio to become a part of.
Coming on as a Network Programmer will have you working on basic prototypes, robust reusable systems and everything in between. Your work will be used throughout all of the upcoming AAA projects. You’ll also get a chance to craft characters, game mechanics and control systems – and your work will need to be innovative, smooth and responsive throughout.
Essential requirements for this role in Guildford:
Strong background in C++
Background in shipping games on PC, console or mobile
Experiences with network coding for multiplayer games
Good communication skills – you’ll work with designers, engineers, directors and producers and must feel comfortable discussing projects with all of these areas.
Efficient – you know instinctively what level of engineering is needed

However, there is still some culture to be explored in this city, with its historic buildings, beautiful parks and a theatre. Sitting on top of a central hill, Guildford Cathedral looks over the city whilst being surrounded by beautiful, picturesque scenery, making for some great exploring. Situated just outside of London, Guildford is a short 35-minute journey into the capital by train, so is ideally positioned so you are not too far away from a day trip to the big city!
