Narrative Designer – 14231
Our client is looking for a Narrative Designer to join a veteran team of developers creating a new sci-fi IP. This full-time role can be fully work-from-home, or per your preference, can transition to partially or mostly in-office either in B.C. or Alberta.
As a Narrative Designer, you’ll work closely with Narrative, Design, UI and Audio teams. You will be responsible for the implementation of the game story. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a collaborative and creative team in the early stages of a new IP.
In your first few weeks in this Narrative Designer role, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with colleagues across Design, Art and Animation to create compelling stories
- Be responsible for the macro story implementation across the game
- Implement connective tissue and logic between missions, activities, gameplay systems, and narrative moments
- Work with writers and designers to set conditions and variables for dialogue
To apply for this Narrative Designer role, you will need a critical understanding of narrative structure, especially in narrative-driven RPG's. You will also require the following:
- Five or more years in the games industry
- Unreal Engine experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to understand or seek clarity on goals and prioritise workload independently
