Mid-Level Programmer

Skillsearch is looking for a talented Mid-Level Programmer to join a collaborative game development team in Brighton. This hybrid and flexible Programmer role comes with an attractive salary and benefits, with the opportunity to lead the development of game features. 

As part of this small indie team, you will work on all aspects of the game and help bring the Creative Director’s vision to fruition. This position is UK based, and they operate either hybrid working from the office in Brighton or remote working. 

Members of this indie start-up can expect to make larger-than-life, high-action video games for mass-market audiences. You'll help create world-beating interactive entertainment that allows people to play together in innovative and satisfying new ways. 

To apply for this Programmer role, you will need C#/C/C++ professional experience within the video games industry and a self-starter who can digest a goal, research, and plan the steps to achieve it. You will also require the following: 

• Excellent ability in multiple programming languages, including one of C#, C or C++ 
• Willingness to pick up new languages and technologies 
• Ability to work with coders, artists, and game and audio designers in a dynamic team environment 

• Experience with networked game technologies and techniques and familiarity and understanding of network backends, cloud-based servers, and databases would be advantageous
