Are you an experienced games industry leader ready to shape the future of indie development in a high-growth market?

We’re hiring a Managing Director to take charge of a new game label focused on supporting and scaling indie studios. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a full-spectrum publishing and incubation model—offering funding, infrastructure, strategy, and production support to internal and external game teams.

This role sits at the intersection of publishing, studio leadership, and investment, and will play a key role in driving long-term growth within a rapidly developing games ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing…

  • Defining and executing the overall strategic direction, aligning with long-term industry growth goals

  • Building a high-performing in-house indie development team

  • Developing partnerships with game studios, platforms, publishers, and government stakeholders

  • Creating scalable operational frameworks across funding, development, and publishing

  • Overseeing all legal, administrative, and project management functions

  • Designing and leading commercial, monetisation, and publishing strategies for games under the label

  • Guiding best practices across marketing, user acquisition, and revenue generation

  • Managing investment strategies and financial planning to ensure long-term success

  • Representing the business at key industry events and within policymaker discussions

  • Reporting to key stakeholders on performance, outcomes, and future opportunities

What They Want To See…

  • 8+ years of experience in the video games industry, ideally in publishing, game development, or investment

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior or executive-level role

  • Strong understanding of game development cycles, indie studio operations, and monetisation models

  • Deep knowledge of emerging markets and regional growth strategies (experience in MENA is a bonus)

  • Experience in building teams, setting up processes, and driving business development

  • Confident stakeholder management with experience working with investors, publishers, and government bodies

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market trends, player behaviours, and commercial performance

  • Bonus: familiarity with Vision 2030 or similar long-term national growth strategies

Joe McKernan

Associate Director of Games and Interactive

Our Associate Director, Joe, joins Giles in heading up our Games and Interactive division, his passion springing from being blown away by the effects in Star Wars at a young age. His love hasn’t wavered and Joe always seems to bring out a new Star Wars t shirt every dress down we have! We are lucky to have him considering that he once got stuck half way up a mountain in Borneo so now he goes for flatter holidays – most recently driving across America in a Mustang.
