If you have experience working on multiplayer games and would love to help build a new multiplayer cooperative game with an ambitious creative wrapper, Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a full-time LiveOps Engineer to join a passionate and creative team in Guildford. This role offers an excellent salary and benefits package for your expertise. 

You will be working in a small company whose goal is to unlock people's imagination and help them express themselves in fun ways through gaming. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building upon their backend server stack––managing scalability, deployment and reporting for their RESTful services and dedicated game servers. 

During your first few weeks in this LiveOps role, you can expect to begin work on: 

  • Taking ownership of key multiplayer features 
  • Learning about their backend server stack 
  • Becoming the go-to team member for Live Ops 
  • Building out a resilient and robust dedicated server architecture 

To succeed in this LiveOps Engineer position, you will need prior experience working on multiplayer games and familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Golang. We are also looking for someone with a passion for learning new things and a solid technical background. Experience shipping a game as part of a team and delivering a cross-platform multiplayer project would be advantageous.
