As a Systems Admin and Infrastructure Team Lead, you will analyse the current infrastructure landscape and define the new future architecture and the roadmap to achieve the desired infrastructure state.
In your first few weeks in this Systems Admin and Infrastructure Team Lead role, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with other ICT professionals in the maintenance and support of Linux-based systems and related infrastructure
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and scripts to automate routine tasks
- Ensure system security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and protocols
- Plan software deployment, configuration and infrastructure changes between the environments jointly within the technical team and Vendors, using both systems automation frameworks and legacy manual approaches.
To apply for this Systems Admin and Infrastructure Team Lead role, you will need at least 10 years of experience in Linux system administration. In addition, you should have:
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, including OpenSUSE and CentOS
- Knowledge of networking protocols, networking architectures and security principles, including IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies, such as Docker, and Kubernetes and deployment in Linux and Windows environments.
