As a lighting artist, you will use your magic to make the digital world come alive with the help of light. You will play a critical role in enhancing the emotional experience and gameplay elements, collaborating with Environment Artists, Concept Artists and Art Directors to deliver the visual mood from reference, mood boards and concept art.
If you were already working there last week, here are some of the things you would be doing:
- Working closely with Level Designers to establish lighting that supports and enhances the desired gameplay
- Creating skies and other atmospheric visual effects
- Evaluating different software, techniques, engines and pipelines.
To apply for this lighting role, you will need at least 3 years of relevant professional lighting experience. You will also require the following:
- A passion for art, games and relevant technologies
- Excellent visual skillset and deep artistic understanding and knowledge
- Ability to follow directions and deliver quality from a visual, gameplay and technical perspective
- Understanding and ability to work according to Game and Art Direction as well as technical constraints.
