As a Level Designer, you will be instrumental in crafting engaging experiences in the studio's games. You will be involved in all aspects of the production, from the initial design of level layout and gameplay prototypes to finalising the in-game implementation of these.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Design, build, and script levels using the studio's proprietary tools
- Collaborate with game designers and programmers to ensure mechanics and systems are properly utilised in levels, from prototyping to implementation
- Take responsibility for the player experience within your levels
- Create and maintain level documentation for the wider team.
To apply for this Level Designer role, you will need to be an accomplished Level Designer with experience working in the video games industry. You must have produced work for at least one shipped title. You will also require the following:
- An understanding of level design principles and theory
- Experience creating levels for third-person (or first-person) action-adventure games
- Experience with 3D-level editors and visual scripting for games
- Collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate other disciplines effectively towards the shared goal of a great level of experience.
