Lead Unity Developer in London

As a Lead Unity Developer at this studio in London, you will work to lead, develop and manage a team of programmers whilst working on a range of projects. If you like the sound of joining a forward-thinking and lively team then look no further for your next role! 

This studio creates mobile free-to-play games as well as console games. Having found huge success in the past with previous releases, they’re looking forward to what the future holds for them with the new creative titles they have in the works. Lead Unity Developer responsibilities: 

  • Lead a programming team at a technical level 
  • Mentor junior members of the programming team 
  • Decide on technical needs of the team 
  • Set up best practices for coding and conduct code reviews 
  • Review the game at regular intervals 
  • Plan and evaluate the work produced by the team 
  • Identify risks and opportunities 
  • Provide solutions to problems 
  • Support the producer in managing the team 

Key requirements for this role in London: 

  • University degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or similar 
  • Extensive experience in a programming C# or C/C++ role 
  • Significant experience in a team lead role 
  • Experience using Unity Engine working on mobile games 
  • Experience working at a senior level on one or more shipped game 
  • Strong C/C++ and object oriented programming skills 
  • Analytical skills 
  • Experience resolving bottlenecks and working on multi-threading, OS concepts, system programming, optimisation and more 
  • Strong debugging skills 
  • Familiar with source control
