Remote Lead UI/UX Designer

As a Lead UI/UX Designer at this thriving studio you will be working fully remotely as you define the UI/UX strategy, helping the team to grow their knowledge and expertise through giving and receiving feedback.

Lead UI/UX Designer responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate the scope of design requirements 
  • Break work down into tasks and delegate them to the team 
  • Plan work for sprints alongside production 
  • Determine priorities for tasks and estimate scope 
  • Create UI/UX guidelines for the team 
  • Find solutions for players to make the game as accessible as possible 
  • Build trust and motivation in the team 
  • Lead and inspire the team to achieve their goals 
  • Nurture team growth and progression 
  • Assist with hiring, training, appraising and resolving issues 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Previous leadership experience 
  • Extensive experience working on AAA console/PC games in a UI/UX role 
  • Have worked on one or more full development cycle for a shipped AAA game for console/PC 
  • Extensive experience in UI/UX with an impressive portfolio 
  • Expert in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Adobe XD, etc. 
  • Able to work in Europe 
  • University degree (or equivalent experience) 
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4 
  • Knowledge of production management 
  • Interested in game development beyond UI/UX
