Lead UI Programmer

Are you an experienced Lead UI Engineer ready to create world-class user interfaces for a next-generation RPG?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international studio working on an ambitious multiplayer title set in a beloved fantasy universe. You’ll lead a talented UI engineering team, helping define and deliver intuitive, accessible, and visually striking interfaces that enhance the player experience.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and mentoring a team of UI engineers, supporting their professional development through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career progression planning
• Collaborating with designers, artists, and developers to translate creative visions into functional and efficient user interfaces
• Building, optimising, and maintaining scalable UI systems using Unreal Engine
• Developing tools and features to support UI artists and designers in their workflow
• Ensuring UI systems are performant, accessible, and consistent across all platforms
• Tracking and resolving bugs, maintaining high standards of code quality and usability
• Managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality UI implementations

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a UI programmer or engineer in the games industry
• At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
• Deep understanding of user interface design principles and player accessibility needs in modern games
• Proficiency in C++ programming and solid experience with Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, code architecture, and debugging best practices
• Excellent optimisation skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully within a multicultural and multilingual team
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
