Remote Lead UI Artist 

Are you a UI Artist who loves the idea of having a big impact on a small team? Are you a natural leader who loves supporting your team on exciting game projects? If so, this role could be perfect for you! Read on for details... 

As a Lead UI Artist at this start-up studio, you will be working on a fully remote basis as you create unique and impactful UI experiences for games, ensuring it matches well with game UX and builds a seamless experience for players to enjoy. 

This studio is in the early stages of growth and are determined to make the world’s most popular action RPG game for mobile. As a part of the team, you will get to enjoy stock options, flexible working conditions, a pension scheme, free drinks, social events, and more! 

Lead UI Artist responsibilities: 

  • Ensure UI designs work seamlessly as a part of the project 
  • Build concepts and prototypes for UI 
  • Optimise the UI pipeline 
  • Deliver final UI assets for the project 
  • Create supporting material for community, web, marketplace and event messaging 
  • Graphic design and illustration work where required 
  • Iterate on UI visuals 
  • Ensure UI is consistent across all materials 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Impressive portfolio demonstrating impressive previous work 
  • Strong visual design skills 
  • Working knowledge of Unity 
  • Practical understanding of UX and how it affects player behaviour 
  • Understanding of the UI pipeline in game production 
  • Proficient with Unity, vector graphics tools, Photoshop, After Effects, video editing 
  • Experience shipping games
