Skillsearch is helping a games studio hire an accomplished, enthusiastic and self-motivated Lead Technical Artist to join a Singapore-based team working on a remote basis. This full-time role offers a favourable salary and benefits.
As a Lead Technical Artist, you will advise and direct the design and development of C# systems to manage visual content. You will also review and provide feedback on C# tools and scripts written by TAs.
In your first few weeks in this Lead Technical Artist role, you can expect to:
- Advise and direct the design and development of C# systems to manage visual content
- Work with engineers (C#) and align on interfaces between game logic and visual content management (visual systems)
- Review/feedback on visual effects considering the context of the effect and composition complexity (images, materials and shaders used to achieve the result)
- Review and give feedback on shaders in graph form and CG.
To apply for this Lead Technical Artist role, you will need a good working knowledge of C# within Unity and knowledge of Shaders in Unity (ShaderGraph and CG/HLSL). You will also require the following:
- Working knowledge of content tools within Unity (Framedebugger, Profiler) and any external tools
- Great understanding of VFX composition and the technical components (shaders, emitters, etc) and performance impact
- Ability to forecast and communicate systems that will need to be developed (C# systems/tools) and the balance between engineering and technical art resources to achieve this
- Practical understanding of Unity's rendering pipelines.
