As a Lead Software Engineer at this Canada-based studio, you will be working in their beautiful Kelowna studio, with the option to join fully remotely if you are in Canada. Your role will involve leading the engineering team, championing co-development efforts with other studios. This studio works to create idle games that are impossible to put down, and from this have enjoyed huge success as leaders in the idle gaming arena.

Lead Software Engineer responsibilities: 

• Adapt technology to the needs of partners and customers 
• Work to solve problems in a multi-disciplinary team 
• Lead a team of engineers to develop their careers 
• Create roadmaps which balance technical aspects, customer needs, and company values 

Key requirements for this role in Kelowna: 

• Extensive experience in game programming or games middleware 
• Experience of leading a team of engineers 
• University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar 
• Understanding of game development in Unity Engine 
• Understanding of C# 
• Experience with server-side technologies and cloud computing platforms 
• Experience of developing and driving technical roadmaps 
• Experience of project managing software products 
• Able to write clean code
