Lead Gameplay Programmer

Skillsearch is helping a collaborative company recruit a Lead Gameplay Programmer to join their inclusive and talented team. This full-time Gameplay programming role is based in Prague, Czechia, with hybrid working and comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

As a skilled Lead Gameplay Programmer, you will manage the team of programmers on a technical and personal level. You will also ensure technical requirements are implemented according to the business goals. 

In your first few weeks in this Lead Gameplay Programmer role, you can expect to: 

• Maintain and understand the current state of tech, especially gameplay, and help to identify roadblocks and risks 
• Cooperate with other members of the technical team to identify and communicate technical requirements and constraints 
• Plan, estimate, prioritise, assign and monitor tasks 
• Identify, communicate and manage risks and issues 

To apply for this Gameplay programming job, you will need 5+ years of games industry programming experience. You will also require the following: 

• Familiarity with the full cycle of game development, from prototyping to post-release project maintenance 
• Experience developing with UE 
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent formal qualification in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) 
• Expertise in developing multiplayer games 
• Experience developing large-scale, open-world and sandbox games
