This role is available for remote work in the UK, Spain or Canada. Or via an umbrella company in Poland, Netherlands, Hungary and Ireland.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Design and implement functionality for AAA external clients
- Lead a team of Principal, Senior and non-Senior Engineers, with responsibility for performance management and development
- Identify and highlight any potential risks in the solutions that are being worked on
- Solve problems through the application of sound software engineering principles
- Continuously work to minimise technical and maintenance issues
To apply for this role, you'll need an extensive track record of commercial experience in game development, with at least four shipped games. You'll also require:
- Prior experience in mentoring team members
- Excellent C++ programming skills
- Experience in supporting HR initiatives including development discussions, recruitment and performance management
- Knowledge of Unreal (UE4 or UE5), Unity and other proprietary engines (preferable)
- Experience with smart or mobile devices would (a plus)
