Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Lead Gameplay Programmer to join our client's inclusive multi-national team. This full-time remote role offers a favourable salary and benefits. Employees can work remotely across Canada. 

As a Game Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining our technology to create the best multiplatform AAA RPGs. In this position, you'll cooperate with designers and with other programmers to support and extend our engine and game systems. 

In your first few weeks in this Lead Gameplay Developer role, you can expect to: 

  • Collaborate with designers and other programmers to support and extend our engine and game systems 
  • Manage gameplay team members - mentoring, scheduling and tracking tasks, performance evaluations, one-on-ones, disciplinary actions, and knowing when to report an issue up the line 

To apply for this Lead Gameplay Developer role, you will need excellent knowledge of C++ coding principles and practices with at least 4 years of professional experience. You will also require the following: 

  • Knowledge of game engine architecture and algorithms 
  • Excellent multi-threaded programming skills 
  • Initiative, passion and creativity to bring your own ideas and solutions to the table 
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required
