This full-time game programming role is based in Amsterdam and comes with a favourable salary of £40,000 and many excellent benefits.
As a flexible Lead Game Programmer, you will work closely with the other discipline leads, your producer, and the game director to set up the technical direction for the project. You will also stand at the project's core and set up the overarching plan and technical design with input from your team in conjunction with the chief engineer.

To apply for this lead game programming job, you must have managed a team of programmers for at least one game project and been responsible for delivering the project on time and at the expected quality level. You also should have written several games/projects in C++ and have a good understanding of all concepts of the language, such as object-oriented approach, pointers and references, containers, inheritance, polymorphism, structures, etc. In addition, you will need experience creating multiple (hobby) projects using the Unreal Engine and an excellent understanding of creating blueprints and optimising code through using C++ and the Unreal pipeline. A background working in VR is also advantageous.
