Lead Game Designer

Skillsearch is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Game Designer to join a Stockholm-based games studio. This full-time role offers a favourable salary and benefits package. 

As a Lead Game Designer, you will be responsible for detailed design work on a project, as well as instigating and reviewing the work of other designers.  

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to: 

• Collaborate closely with the directors of the project, refining concepts and ideas into tangible designs, prototypes and features 
• Coach and mentor Game Designers in design methodology and documentation practices 
• Inspire the team to deliver high quality, balanced and scalable systems and player experiences, fitting for Live Service and Free-to-play PvP Action Games 
• Own and spearhead game features directly and work hands-on in cross-disciplinary teams while implementing Gameplay Features. 

To apply, you will need 10+ years of experience designing and making games and a proven track record with multiple shipped titles. You will also require the following: 

• An excellent grasp of AAA PvP gameplay and game and systems design, including player psychology, UX design and gameplay mechanics and dynamics 
• Proficiency with the Unreal Engine and experience with Blueprints and scripting 
• Ability to adapt to varied learning and communication styles of team members and stakeholders 
• Familiarity with the various game maker disciplines, coding, animation, game physics, 3D Art, etc.
