Lead Game Designer in London

As a Lead Game Designer at this studio in London, you will be in charge of looking after a brand new game project from prototyping through to launch, setting the vision, ensuring things run smoothly, and generally looking after all aspects of design. If you like the sound of a role with a lot of creative freedom, then you’ll be a great fit for this opportunity. 

This studio creates mobile free-to-play games as well as console games. Having found huge success in the past with previous releases, they’re looking forward to what the future holds for them with the new creative titles they have in the works. Lead Game Designer responsibilities: 

  • Set the vision and roadmap for a new project 
  • Lead KPI improvements by increasing team output quality and encouraging player satisfaction 
  • Look after all aspects of game design 
  • Ensure everyone and everything is working efficiently 
  • Ensure live tests run smoothly working with BI and live operations 
  • Maintain documentation of designs, timeline and roadmap 
  • Work on competitive analysis and market research 

Key requirements for this role in London: 

  • Experience with multiple leadership styles 
  • Inspire and motivate your team 
  • Interested in data-driven design 
  • Understanding of the mobile games landscape 
  • Passionate about mobile games 
  • Extensive experience as a Game Designer 
  • Significant experience working in free-to-play mobile games 
  • Experience in a Senior or Lead role on a F2P title 
  • Track record of playing a key role in the development of a mobile title from conception to live operations 
  • Able to prototype games and ideas in Unity Engine 
  • Experience defining a game vision and quality expectations 
  • Experience using data and BI to push live operations
