As a Lead Game Designer at this studio in Manchester you will be taking on a key role on some exciting world-famous IP, in this leadership position you will work closely with your design team to support and motivate them as well as iterate on their ideas, and overall ensure a high quality of gameplay is produced.

Lead Game Designer responsibilities: 

• Pull the game vision together and ensure it is communicated throughout the team 
• Look after several aspects of the game and help to deliver those aspects on time 
• Iterate on feedback from other disciplines 
• Create documentation 
• Ensure changes are communicated to all disciplines 
• Oversee and mentor designers in your team 

Key requirements for this role in Manchester: 

• Passionate about creating fun games 
• Broad knowledge of game design 
• Deep understanding of specialisation such as level design, combat, balancing, progression, usability, social mechanics, etc. 
• Extensive experience in games development 
• Have worked in a lead position on two or more action/adventure titles for current gen console or PC 
• Leadership experience including mentoring, line management and multi-person design teams 
• Experience writing high quality documents 
• Knowledge of industry trends
