Lead Game Designer in Amsterdam

As a Lead Game Designer at this studio in Amsterdam, you will work hard to deliver unforgettable VR gaming experiences through owning game design as well as looking after a team of designers and mentoring them to strive towards their career goals. 

This multi-platform VR studio is made up of industry veterans and is home to a growing portfolio of VR games, offering a unique experience to players at home and outside of it. As a part of the team, you will get to enjoy working with a young and passionate team, with room to grow and share your creative input, whilst benefitting from loads of studio perks. 

Lead Game Designer key responsibilities: 

  • Work with art, tech and production teams to ensure the highest quality product is achieved 
  • Work on the overall planning of a project 
  • Research and introduce new techniques and methodologies to the studio 
  • Anticipate technical and systemic issues and work to mitigate them 
  • Mentor your team members 

Essential requirements for this role in Amsterdam: 

  • Previous experience as a lead in a similar role 
  • Knowledge of Unreal and Blueprint 
  • Extensive games industry experience 
  • Professional game design experience 
  • Experience with UI/UX design and narrative design 
  • Experience working on technical game design 
  • Have worked on shipped AR or VR products 
  • Experience working on design tools and pipelines
