Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our growing teams of talented developers to create exciting games that are expertly built and enjoyed by millions. This full-time Environment Artist role based in Bromley comes with a generous salary and benefits package. 

As a Lead Environment Artist, you will manage, mobilise and mentor your teams. You will also be critical in establishing the pipelines and processes for the Environment team as well as setting the quality bar for others to follow. Please note that our client's offices are based in Bromley, UK, and teams have access to working patterns that work for them. 

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: 

  • Work with Production to prioritise and plan the project's environmental needs 
  • Provide and sanity check task estimates and scope 
  • Review the Environment team’s output, giving constructive feedback 
  • Work with the Art Director to create high-quality environments 
  • Set quality expectations and provide visual benchmarks 
  • Delegate and assign work to team members 

To apply for this Lead Environment Artist role, you will need to have been shipped at least one title as an Environment Artist. You will also require the following: 

  • A portfolio filled with recent examples of Environment work 
  • A good understanding of shape, form and composition 
  • Proven abilities in optimised 3D asset creation 
  • Solid experience with PBR workflows 
  • Proficiency with industry-standard modelling tools such as 3D Studio Max and Maya 
  • Experience working with Photoshop, Substance Painter and Jira
