During your first few weeks in this Lead Environment Artist role, you can expect to work in some of the following areas:

  • Manage a team of environment artists creating original artwork
  • Work with the team to ensure all assets are optimised and performant on our supported platforms
  • Meet with clients to gather requirements for proposed environments
  • Assign projects and tasks to the team, supervise, and provide feedback to team members on their work

To apply for this Lead Environment Artist position, you will need extensive prior industry experience working with Unity or other game frameworks. You will also require demonstrable experience creating Environment Art either commercially or on a completed mod with multiple releases. Additional requirements include:

  • Experience designing and concepting game environments
  • Experience in photo-realistic texture creation, including PBR workflow
  • Great eye for detail, a natural flair for composition and colour, and excellent traditional art skills
  • Expert knowledge of 3D modelling packages such as Blender, Maya, or 3D Studio Max and thorough understanding of and experience with Adobe Photoshop and image manipulation
