As a remote Lead Environment Artist, you will be contributing to games full of character and creating beautiful and unique environments. This studio is home to some hugely successful AAA and VR projects and has plenty of highly anticipated titles currently in development. Requirements

  • Portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of ability and drawing skills
  • Experience with lighting, photography, composition, and colour theory
  • In depth understanding of 2D/3D art packages such as Photoshop, Maya/Max, Z-Brush, and others
  • Able to design beautiful and immersive stylised worlds with prototypes, models, texture, and light
  • Degree in Fine Art, Digital Media Design or other relevant degrees and qualifications
  • Previous experience leading a game team or department

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Art leaders to establish the aesthetics for the projects
  • Communicating with artists, designers, and code on all aspects of gameplay and performance related to the environments
  • Coordinating production plans and the environment development pipeline including creating spreadsheets and using planning techniques
  • Creating AAA scenery and props from concept art and other references
  • Overseeing and supporting the external management and integration of outsourced content
  • Problem solving and consistently presenting solutions to technical issues in the creation of a real-time game
