Lead Concept Artist – 12987

Do you have experience working as a concept artist? Are you interested in working on a new open-world multiplayer survival game? If yes, this could be the opportunity for you!

As a Lead Concept Artist in Oslo, you will be building and maintaining partner and client relationships, trust and communication whilst leading and mentoring the concept artists to create the best possible quality work. You will maintain qualitative goals and artistic consistency for concept art, setting high visual standards and defining the art styles and tones of the projects.

  • Commercial production experience as a Concept Artist and prior leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine and production management tools
  • Experience working with outsourcing partners and freelancers across different locations
  • In depth understanding of 2D art fundamentals including anatomy, composition, lighting, materials, and colour use
  • Excellent proficiency with Photoshop, Z-Brush, Maya, and other 2D/3D software packages


  • Working closely with the Art Director on the projects to develop a style and provide consistent quality across all areas of the project
  • Collaborating with other art leads and the producers to coordinate the resources, establish schedules and priorities
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating concept artists throughout the art pipeline, reviewing completed work and ensuring it is aligned with the artistic direction and 3D requirements
  • Producing high-quality concept art, with the ability to deliver consistent quality across all areas of environments, lighting, characters, vehicles, props and more
