As a Senior/Lead Character Artist at this studio in Shanghai, you will be taking on a key role where you will build models to match the project vision, give and receive feedback to ensure assets are the best they can be as well as looking after and mentoring junior members of the team to help their career progression.

Senior/Lead Character Artist responsibilities: 

• Collect and understand reference images 
• Create models in line with the project vision 
• Produce detailed character models and assets 

• Provide proxy models for early game integration 
• Create low poly models 
• Take on board feedback and make revisions 
• Mentor less experienced members of the art team 

Essential requirements for this role in Shanghai: 

• Significant prior experience in game development modelling and texturing characters in 3DS Max and Photoshop 
• Skilled in Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, etc. 
• Knowledge of hi-poly modelling and digital sculpting 
• Understanding of PBR 
• Understanding of human and animal anatomy and proportions 

• Experience with AAA game production 
• Passionate about the games industry
