Remote Lead Artist 

Are you a talented Game Artist with experience leading a team? Does the sound of taking on a pivotal role at an award-winning VR studio sound exciting to you? If so, get in touch today! 

As a Lead Artist at this remote-first studio, you will be paving the way and driving the game forward within the art team, guiding and mentoring a team of talented artists, driving artistic efforts and plenty more! 

This studio is a brand-new division a thriving, award-winning studio, brought to life by an innovative and award-winning team. They are on a mission to revolutionise VR gaming and bring about a new generation of virtual reality. As a part of the team, you will get to enjoy their remote-first culture and the chance to push the boundaries of VR and create genre-defining experiences. 

Lead Artist responsibilities: 

  • Strive to bring the creative vision into real-time fruition 
  • Refine and build on the skills of your team to ensure high quality content is delivered 
  • Establish a creative process that your team can utilise and flourish within 
  • Be the voice of VR, artistic possibilities and innovations 
  • Forge artistic, technical and rendering innovations 
  • Be a positive role model for the team 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Extensive prior experience in game development 
  • Have worked on three or more shipped titles (one or more current generation console) 
  • Able to understand and deliver on artistic vision 
  • Track record of hands-on art creation 
  • Experience leading a team 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating rendering and artistic efforts 
  • Knowledge and understanding of real time game engines, tools, pipelines and cross-platform development
