Lead Artist in Brighton

Are you an experienced Lead Artist with a strong portfolio of work from AAA projects? Do you want to work by the seaside in one of the UK’s most desirable cities?

This award-winning game developer, based in sunny Brighton, are home to a number of beautifully made and successful titles, with a new project up their sleeve that is currently in development. They have gained a reputation as a highly creative and exciting studio, and their games are certainly highly anticipated.

Their games are largely storytelling and they have been recognised as pioneers in their field, creating some richly atmospheric and imaginative titles so far. Lead Artist Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Art director to shape and grow the artistic style and vision of the game
  • Ensure your team delivers high quality artwork and assets as planned
  • Use your knowledge and experience to oversee all art disciplines within the studio
  • Work closely with the production team to create project plans and estimates

Requirements for this role in Brighton:

  • 5 or more years of experience as a Senior/Lead Artist working on console projects
  • Experience in a leadership role, training and mentoring other members of the team
  • Strong portfolio of work that shows your understanding of art principles and production
  • Experience creating 3D art pipelines

Often referred to as London-by-the-sea, as well as being under an hour via rail to the capital, these is clearly a lot to Brighton that is highly desirable! Thanks to its compact city centre, the best way to manoeuvre Brighton’s busy streets is on foot, which is certainly the most interesting way to get around too, making for a beautiful stroll around the famous lanes. As well as the lanes, Brighton is famous for its stunning beach, which is certainly a tourist spot come summertime. You can sit on the pebbles with an ice cream, go for a stroll down the Palace Pier, or even take a swim around the old West Pier, an iconic landmark in the city.

As well as the landmarks, Brighton is famous for being a hugely welcoming and accepting city, there is no way anyone could feel out of place thanks to its vastly diverse culture, you will find people from all walks of life in this city. Just outside of the city lies the South Downs, with plenty of scenery and wildlife available to explore, highlights include Devils Dyke and Ditchling Beacon, which offer a stunning respite from city life.
