Lead Animator in Sheffield 

Are you an experienced animator looking for a new role? Does the idea of overseeing a team for one of the UK’s most successful studios sound interesting to you? If so, read on! 

As a Lead Animator at our studio based in Sheffield, you will be working to produce high quality motion capture animation as a part of a team for one of the UK’s most prolific game developers. You will be working to produce high quality animation whilst contributing to the design of complex gameplay systems. 

With the option to work fully or partly remote, you will have the opportunity to have a huge amount of creative input and ownership for important game features. 

Requirements 

• Extensive industry experience 
• Experience working with animation graphs and systems 
• Proficient in Maya and/or Motionbuilder 
• Proven experience with planning motion capture shoots 

Responsibilities 

• Producing high quality motion capture animation 
• Working as a part of a team to design and execute complex gameplay systems 
• Overseeing an animation team and ensuring that all work is executed to a high standard 
• Taking the lead in a mentoring role  
• Provide detailed planning for creation processes from concept through to final animation 
• Continuing the development of tools and processes and maintaining an understanding of the best industry practises 
• Effectively communicate with peers to maintain schedules and meet deadlines on a consistent basis
