Lead Animation Programmer

Skillsearch has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Lead Animation Programmer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time Lead Animation Programming role is based in London and offers a favourable salary and benefits. 

As a Lead Animation Programmer, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of crafting the animation systems throughout all areas of the game. You will work together with multiple disciplines within our team, including animators, technical animators and designers, to advise and support the implementation of animation features. 

In your first few weeks in this Lead Animation Developer role, you can expect to: 

• Ensure delivery of high-quality animation systems by the team 
• Plan the work of the team including external dependencies with minimal input 
• Define the technical direction and develop innovative solutions for difficult animation problems 
• Lead the Animation Engine team and communicate clearly with other team members 
• Help educate and support other teams to use animation systems accurately and efficiently

• Good C++ programming and debugging skills 
• Proficiency in 3D maths 
• Expert knowledge of computer game animation systems 
• The ability to read and quickly understand complex code
