Nicole works in VFX and Animation in our games team, so she’s your girl if you’re looking for a role in this area of games. Her competitive streak means she’ll do whatever it takes you to get your dream role, as long as it doesn’t involve worms - her only kryptonite! Having grown up in South Africa, Nicole has many a safari story, although she wasn’t allowed to bring back a pet elephant, so she’s settled with her pet ducks, Cheese & Quackers. We can’t wait for bring your pet to work day!
Katie is our candidate queen and spends her time listening to people paint pictures of their dream job ready for whenever that job pops up. Katie’s claim to fame is meeting the Queen which in turn led to movie stardom (sort of)- ask her about it!
Our MD fitness fanatic and father of 3 Richard will be found running or in the gym every lunch as he says that’s the only place he ever gets any peace and quiet. Voted 9 out of 10 as a geek by the team Richards top 3 loves are Star Wars, Tottenham Hotspur and his family – although we aren’t sure in which order. Richard is the office oracle and says what he doesn’t know about recruitment isn’t worth knowing – we haven’t managed to prove him wrong yet!
Sanson works with Joe to find the absolute best Animators and VFX Artists although their talents don't stop there! This team are our shining stars when it comes to getting to know a company inside and out and being able to complete a whole team. So if you're looking to hear about the company of your dream - get in touch with Sanson!
Catrin is a jack of all trades at Skillsearch, but she's master of them all too! The unflappable, enthusiastic face that will be your go-to for any questions - that's for contractors, clients and us in the office as well. She's always ready and willing to help and we haven't yet found a problem that she can't solve. She does have an Achilles heel though as she hasn’t yet worked out how to whistle, which would really come in handy when it comes to her new fur baby – Evie the Cockapoo!
If you’re looking for a job in Workday, Charlie is our in-house expert! He’s loyal - having learned from the best with his two black Labradors Ziggy and Freddy – so Charlie will stick with you until he gets you settled in the right job! Catch him while you can though – Charlie’s dream is to own a house in the mountains where he can ski to his heart’s content, so get in touch before jets off to The Alps!
Ryan looks after programmers particularly focusing on the VR/AR space. We think he’s working here mostly get his hands on new Lord of the Rings VR experiences as soon as they come out although, with his level of knowledge, maybe he should be helping make them instead! He is one of the few people on the team that is a born and bred Brightonian. In fact he has never moved far - to the point where last time he moved, it was only 2 doors down from his old place!
Jack looks after three areas, Games Design, Games Production and Game Analytics yet with the help of his near photographic memory he will always remember you and everything you’ve ever discussed. He’s no stranger to production himself, spending a few years producing incredible tapas as Head Chef of a Spanish Tapas restaurant. Jack also owns a pug called Pumba who was the ring bearer at his wedding and even got his own custom suit to match the groomsmen.
Freya is our word wizard and seems to have beautiful words stored in her hands just ready to fall out onto a page. Lucky for us she has chosen to share her skill with us to write job descriptions, blogs and social media posts to make everything you see as enjoyable as possible. Her favourite things to do around Brighton are visits to Devils Dyke and Ditchling Beacon to enjoy the wonderful scenery so with this and her love of words we imagine that in another life she would’ve been the heroine in a Jane Austin novel or Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Our Oracle expert, Mark, has dedicated nearly a decade to growing our Oracle practice here at Skillsearch. He is a keen cricketer who bats a bit, bowls a bit less and is amazing at standing in the field. A Manchester United fan and a proud Father, Mark holds the record for having more things from Amazon delivered to the office than everyone else combined. He also has an infectious laugh so try and get him going when you speak to him.
Joe is our Animation and VFX Consultant, his passion for the latter springing from being blown away by the effects in Star Wars at a young age. His love hasn’t wavered and Joe always seems to bring out a new Star Wars t shirt every dress down we have! We are lucky to have him considering that he once got stuck half way up a mountain in Borneo so now he goes for flatter holidays – most recently driving across America in a Mustang.
Andy works with Jack as a Game Design and Production Consultant and his favourite games are narrative-based, survivor horror and strategy so Andy will be a great person to have on your side during a zombie apocalypse! Aside from gaming, his spare time is dedicated to trying lasagne from as many different Italian restaurants as humanly possible. We all support his pursuit of this mission during office lunchtimes - especially if there are leftovers! Get in touch with Andy for all your lasagne, apocalypse and Game Design/Production needs!

Giles runs our Gaming & Interactive division and specialises in forming tight knit teams, whether that’s for a studio or in our office. He represented his county at rugby for every age group from 12 onwards which no doubt helped him to cultivate his excellent understanding of team dynamics. Giles is known for his warmth and willingness to take time to work through any issues that may arise, although make sure you don’t try and share his food as then you won’t be getting a warm welcome – Giles doesn’t share food!
Jane is a member of our Art team and works alongside Nicole and Ellie as a matchmaker for candidates and clients in the industry. Like most of us, Jane thrives on being a Brightonian and loves the buzz of living in the heart of the North Laines thanks to the weekly flea market and unique music venues. One of Jane’s proudest accolades is being the brains behind Brighton’s funky Hotel Pelirocco, which she’s almost as proud of as she is her daughter – not forgetting her three feline fur babies too!
Ellie specialises in Art in our games team and is another one of our team’s Star Wars lovers, even confessing her favourite animal to be Baby Yoda! Having recently moved to Brighton from The Alps, her pastimes have shifted significantly from snowboarding in the mountains to Brighton beach trips where you’ll find her on the pier having her fortune told by the Zoltar machine. Ellie also serves as our in-house fortune teller thanks to her palm reading skills... Is there a career change in your future?
