Head of People in London 

Do you have experience managing people in a creative office? Does the idea of looking after a talented and passionate team at an award-winning game studio sound exciting to you? If so, keep reading! 

As Head of People at this studio in London, you will be playing a key role in making sure the team is happy and comfortable and generally have a great experience working here, striving to ensure they perform at their best and are content in their roles, in turn allowing the best game content possible to be created. 

This studio prides itself on putting everything they have into every project which is what has allowed them to enjoy such huge success in the form of award-winning AAA titles so far. Therefore, it is essential that the right candidate for the role is truly passionate and excited about all things gaming, tv, and film and has their sights set on creating the best content possible. 

People Director responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage performance management 
  • Ensure team members have annual goals, annual reviews, training and performance recognition 
  • Manage and support use of Juno and Appraise 
  • Lead and manage recruitment (write job descriptions, advertise, manage recruiters, screen, book interviews) 
  • Lead and manage onboarding and offboarding 
  • Lead and manage day to day team presence, annual leave and sick days 
  • Run monthly staff feedback research 
  • Drive lead4ership growth and performance of the exec team 
  • Manage and improve HR systems 
  • Drive positive company culture 
  • Improve the office space and working environment 
  • Manage suppliers and stocks needed in the office 

Key requirements for this role in London: 

  • Significant prior experience running HR/people functions in a creative company 
  • Experience managing offices 
  • Highly organised and diligent 
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Able to lead, coordinate and collaborate with different stakeholders
