Game Programmer in Wilmslow

As a Game Programmer at this studio in Wilmslow, you will work closely with all other disciplines to create strong gameplay code for the major world-famous IP you are working on. Within the role you will work on AI systems, write player mechanics, engineer game systems and more all in C++.

Game Programmer key responsibilities:
- Engineer modular game systems to create networked content for the game
- Work on AI systems to create enemy AI, party AI and boss AI
- Write player mechanics
- Write gameplay systems and GUI systems
- Implement achievements and trophies using C++
- Mentor junior members of the programming team
Essential requirements for this role in Wilmslow:
- Talented at programming gameplay and mechanics
- Fluent in object-oriented C++ with debugging skills
- Strong 3D maths and physics skills
- Unreal Engine experience on one or more shipped game
- University degree (or equivalent) in computer science or similar
- Previous experience in the games industry
