We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and collaborative Game Designer to join our client's welcoming and friendly studio. This full-time Game Designer role is based in Brighton and Hove and offers a hybrid or fully remote working and an attractive salary and benefits package.
At this exciting stage in development, you will have a strong input in defining and shaping all aspects of the end product. Working with the artists and programmers, you will be initially expected to help prototype, design, and refine the core gameplay systems. As the project goes on, you’ll work with a growing design team to design and implement game and live service features.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Work with the Creative Director to translate their vision into exciting and compelling gameplay experiences
- Produce the required mock-ups, documentation and other communication to take to other team members
- Work in-engine to implement and iterate on game mechanics and features
- Communicate and champion your designs to everyone on the team
To apply for this Game Designer role, you will need at least one shipped game as a designer. You will also require the following:
- Experience working with Unity
- Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills
- High levels of energy and drive
- Knowledge of the games market and ability to tear down other games to identify their successes and failings
