Game Designer in Guildford 

Talented Game Designer who loves the sound of working on AAA immersive titles alongside an award-winning team? This role is calling your name! 

As a Game Designer at this studio in Guildford, you will be designing and implementing core game systems, supporting the combat and level design teams to create immersive and compelling gameplay. If you’re confident in Unreal Engine and have experience using Blueprints, you could be a perfect match for this role. 

This BAFTA-winning studio has a glowing reputation for innovation in the storytelling and VR genres, with a number of critically acclaimed successful titles behind them, and some new projects in the works, it’s a great time to join the team! 

Game Designer responsibilities: 

• Design and implement game logic using visual scripting systems and in-house tools 
• Assist in developing compelling gameplay systems 
• Develop gameplay systems from concept through to finishing 
• Translate prototypes into game systems 
• Use existing blueprints to create new gameplay 

Key requirements for this role in Guildford: 

• Skilled in Unreal Engine and experienced in using its tools 
• Experience using a collaborative approach to game design 
• Able to adjust mechanics and gameplay content using feedback 
• Understanding of gameplay, flow and game logic systems 
• Quick to adapt to proprietary software, workflows, pipelines and tools
