What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Finance Change and Systems Manager in the day-to-day administration and enhancement of Workday Financials
  • Leading, designing, testing, and implementing system changes to deliver ongoing improvements
  • Managing pre-release activities, ensuring business cases are clearly articulated and detailed requirements align with solution design
  • Overseeing release processes, including sprint planning, development quality, live testing, and deployment approval
  • Ensuring post-release monitoring, defect resolution, and continuous improvement are in place

  • Configuring Workday, including reports, business processes, integrations, and security maintenance
  • Producing high-quality Workday reports and supporting development work across financial modules

  • Building collaborative relationships across finance and wider business functions

What we're looking for:

  • Strong background working in finance or accounting functions, with experience in finance change or system administration roles
  • Previous hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including reporting, business processes, security, custom validations, calculated fields, and financial SKUs
  • Knowledge of ERP, General Ledger, or P2P systems, with exposure to implementations and post go-live support
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with Agile development approaches and continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and influence stakeholders
